• Utilize test equipment to install products and isolate trouble effectively.
• Support, install, and repair company products by providing Ziply Fiber services.
• Install and maintain inside wiring for residential/business broadband (HSI/Video) service.
• Use and understand automated Dispatch equipment (i.e., handheld terminals), read and understand broadband service orders and trouble tickets, and the use of appropriate broadband test equipment.
• Effectively use Ziply Fiber\u2019s internal programs and dispatch programs to complete assignments. Fiber Construction, Splicing, and Testing
• Perform single fusion and mass fusion splicing on high-count fiber optic cables (24-ribbon and above) in outside plant environments.
• Prep, splice, and maintain fiber optic cables in aerial, underground, and indoor settings.
• Utilize OTDR, Power Meters, and VFL to test fiber, troubleshoot, and identify network issues. Network Maintenance, Documentation, and Safety
• Effectively use preventive maintenance program by rebuilding aerial/buried/underground cables.
• Read and interpret Outside Plant drawings.
• Read, create, and maintain splicing schematics, blueprints, and engineering documents.
• Perform mid-sheath entries, bond and ground fibers, and maintain existing plant.
• Adhere to OSHA, NESC, and NEC safety standards, including in-vehicle safety and work zone setups.
• Respond to network outages (24/7 on-call capability). Other Duties
