Summary: Follows established safety practices and procedures and when needed be able to work in all types of weather. Must possess ability to learn to drive and operate digger truck and trailer, and to be able to obtain the required Commercial Driver's License, Class A (CDL-A). General Duties: Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: • Lifting tools and ladders; • Climbing ladders and poles; • Work from heights; • Work from a bucket; • Work in confined spaces; • Handle all necessary materials and supplies; • Manually pull and install cable plant. • May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company. Basic Qualifications: • Must possess a valid state driver's license. Must have ability to drive vehicles with manual gearshift. Must pass an alcohol and drug test. • Must meet applicable federal and state standards for operating the size vehicles covered by this job title. • A Commercial Driver's License, Class A (CDL-A) is required. To obtain the CDL-A license, the employee/applicant must qualify on the Department of Transportation's CDL license physical, written, and skills qualifications tests. If applicant does not have a valid CDL-A license at the time of hire, he/she will be required to obtain such license. • Maintain and construct all outside plant to meet quality standards and Company policies as well as perform any other duties as assigned. • Must interact with work forces to coordinate and disseminate information to complete job assignments and other sections to…
