Job Summary
- Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on Wind Turbines.
- Calibrate and adjust turbine components to enhance performance.
- Conduct maintenance of equipment including resolving electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions on the following WTGs: G114-2.5, G114-2.625, G126-2.5, G126-2.625, G132-3.3, G132-3.465, SG145-4.5, SG145-5.0)
- Diagnose problems involving wind turbine generators or control systems.
- Follow specific verbal and written instructions to perform Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) and associated equipment assembly, repair, and maintenance.
- Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records.
- Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee handbook and insurance requirements.
- Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work area including sweeping, mopping, wiping oil, grease, solvent spills. Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs. Core Experience:
- Twelve (12) months of related Wind Troubleshooting experience required.
- SBTT - Siemens Basic Technician Training (Green Profile)
- Siemens-Gamesa Renewable Energy Basic Technician Training certified – Family 3
- C&T Gamesa Geared (incl. C&T DAC Converter) training completion
- Tower Rescue/ Tractel and SRK 11 Certifications preferred.
- Service reporting, work order documents, and records will be written neatly, legibly and completed correctly.
- Ability to read schematics. Physical/Work Environment:
- Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet.
- Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance.
