Data Center / Headend Technicians - Level 2,3 or 4

Job Summary

Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, modify, and perform preventive maintenance on customer specific data centers and headend telecommunication sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for headend installation of routers, CMTS (cable modem termination system) and other broadband equipment for telecommunication companies.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical instructions, plans blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
• Perform RF wiring with RG59 HEC, Mini RF, Cat 5/6, Fiber Jumpers and associated connectors, between active and passive devices.
• Test and label all cables according to the Customer’s specifications
• Install racks, set rails, and cable trays.
• Travel will be required between localized area sites.
• 3+ years of experience in data centers, headend, or central office environments
• Must have strong communication and judgement skills
