Vice President, Field Services (Fiber Operations)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Customer Experience:

• Deliver an elite customer service experience across all field interactions.
• Professionally de‑escalate customer concerns and ensure timely resolution.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Operational Oversight:
• Oversee field operations and locator teams across the designated territory.
• Coordinate maintenance activities for shelter locations and POP facilities.
• Support emergency repairs and ongoing maintenance of communications infrastructure, including fiber optic cables and network equipment.
• Lead outage response, site inspections, troubleshooting, and restoration efforts. Training, Quality & Compliance:
• Create and implement training programs to meet internal and external requirements.
• Maintain accurate field documentation and provide regular updates to leadership.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance plans and safety procedures.
• Generate technical reports, analyze system data, and contribute to operational improvements. What will catch our eye Residing within the region Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wyoming, Colorado Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of experience in the telecommunications or utility industry. 7+ years of experience in senior management. Proficiency with construction tracking software and tools. Strong knowledge of fiber optic network construction, operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Knowledge of local permitting authorities, regulations, and processes.
