OSP Construction Manager

Job Summary

Do you have experience with project oversite and Fiber Outside Plant construction? Are you seeking a long-term home to build your project management career? TekCom Resources is seeking a field-based Construction Manager for a direct hire role with a fast-growing telecom construction firm! This position will be for a project based in either our client's Janesville, WI or Oshkosh, WI location.

In this role, you will be responsible for oversight of several OSP construction projects;this will include fiber construction oversight, oversight of splicing, and QC on work performed. Visiting field sites to observe work being performed is an essential element of this role.

Work is being performed in and around the Southeastern WI area and the hours will be mostly 7AM - 4PM daily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform quality control on work being performed and ensure crew compliance with company standards.
• Work with other members of the team on ensuring adherence to progress schedule, occasionally passing information along to management or clients.
• Tracking a range of administrative concerns and functions: contractor invoicing, equipment and supplies availability, progress documentation, etc. This will be a major component of the role!
• Make sure crews are following internal and external safety protocols while performing construction work.
• Communicate with other team members and departments in seeing projects through to completion.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a construction coordinator, construction supervisor or in a similar role;at least 5 years of specific OSP construction experience is necessary!
• Experience assisting with or managing project tracking, financials, both internal and contracted crews, and other functions.
• Experience and comfort communicating with clients and management regarding progress milestones.
• A willingness to work both from their office in Janesville or Oshkosh WI and at job sites around either of these locations - this will not be a remote role.
