Telecommunications Central Office Lead Installer – Level IV

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute installation tasks according to Telco Standard TP76300 and supervise team members effectively.
  • Demonstrate expertise in installing AC/DC power systems, fiber systems, central office infrastructure, and alarm systems.
  • Lead installation projects with equipment from vendors such as Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, and Juniper.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of fiber installation standards and procedures.
  • Read and follow Method of Procedures, order specifications, and installation documentation accurately.
  • Interface professionally with customers, vendors, and staff to complete projects.
  • Perform system testing, including turn-up and integration as necessary.
  • Supervise and guide lower-level Installers/Technicians in their duties.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and administrative tasks.
  • Conduct quality audits on ongoing and completed projects to meet industry and customer standards.
  • Generate MOPs, high-risk activity reports, work schedules, and project reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of installation experience or equivalent training and experience.
  • High school diploma required; technical school or related experience in telecommunications installation preferred.
  • Proficient in laptop computer skills and applications, including MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment background checks; valid passport is a plus.
